North Yorkshire Open Studios 2025

North Yorkshire Open Studios 2025

I’m delighted to be taking part in North Yorkshire Open Studios (NYOS) this year! It barely feels like two minutes since I received the email confirming i'd been selected to participate — and now it’s just around the corner, less than a month away.

For those who haven’t come across it before, Open Studios is exactly what it sounds like: a chance to visit artists in their studios (or local venues), chat about their inspirations and creative processes, browse their work, and soak up the atmosphere of the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside as you go.

To make planning your visit even easier, I’ve teamed up with 13 other brilliant local artists to create the Moors Edge Trail. We’re all based along the edge of the North York Moors, just off the A170 — from Helmsley to Cawthorne — and the trail is a great way to discover a wide range of work, from painting and printmaking to textiles and ceramics.

And if you’re able to visit on Sunday 8th June, you’re in for a real treat — our lovely village of Pockley will also be hosting its annual Summer Fete. Expect plants, jumble, bacon sandwiches, and of course, the village’s legendary homemade cakes.

Come for the art… stay for the cake!
